Well, I’ve done it. I’ve committed the unforgiveable blogging sin: I haven’t kept up with my posting schedule.
Normally I put up a new article every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. But the past couple of weeks, I’ve only done two, and not on schedule. My bad.
I’ve gotten distracted by another project. Shame on me. I should be superwoman and do it all regardless, right?
Well, er. . . no.
You see, the other project I’m in the midst of deals with health and wellness, and I decided to actually take my own advice about things like getting enough rest, sticking to my fitness regimen and the like.
As those of you who’ve been following this site for a while know, I take a strong interest in health care and the whole mess surrounding what passes for health care in the US. One of my reasons for moving overseas is to live someplace that offers affordable health care. I also want to live in a place where food is actually food and not processed, food-like substances as it is here.
At the same time, I don’t want to move overseas with the same health issues I currently have, the biggest of which is Type 2 diabetes. I’ve learned that Type 2 diabetes, as well as a raft of other degenerative diseases, can actually be reversed with the help of functional medicine. So I’d like to make my move as a post-diabetic.
Diabesity is a word used to describe diabetes + obesity and related metabolic issues.
The project that’s thrown off my schedule here is the creation of a website called Overcome Diabesity. I plan to share what I’m learning and document my efforts to get rid of diabetes. If you’re interested, I’d invite you to take a look. There’s not much there yet, but I’ll be adding content all the time.
In the meantime, until I get Overcome Diabesity off the ground, I’ll be posting here twice a week instead of three times. Mea culpa.
Thanks for understanding.
