Working from home is a dream for a lot of people.
Like anything else, it’s got upsides and downsides. In this episode of The Anywhereist Podcast, we’ll talk about some of the most compelling reasons to work from home. We’ll also discuss some of the challenges, and things you can do to make the transition easier if you’re going from working in someone else’s office to your own home.
As always, Kitty’s got a tool for you to print out and use to help you be more productive during your work-at-home workday.

Choose the time budget worksheet that’s best for your working schedule.
- Time Budget for Early Birds — starts at 6:00 AM and goes until 8:00 PM
- Time Budget for Night Owls — starts at 10:00 AM and goes until midnight
Here’s an example of a Trello board to help with work/life balance. Trello is an excellent tool which I use extensively to keep myself on track, and to manage projects. Here’s one of those “according to science” articles I mentioned about the reason working in a coffee shop can enhance your productivity. Coworking resources:
- CoWorker.com
- WeWork.com
- Roundup of the 50 best coworking spaces in the world
- Apps to find a coworking space while traveling
You shouldn’t take anything as gospel when it comes to working from home, but here’s a decent article that might help you figure out how well suited you are to getting out of the office.
